We now enter the last quarter of the battles leading up to the Grand Battle of Songs, with the Battle of the 60s Rock Songs! The 60s were probably the most influential decade in rock and roll history, with many of the bands that are considered the greatest having gotten their start in this era. As such, I've named the divisions after some of the significant venues where notable performances were held.

If you listen to rock and roll at all, chances are you've heard of all or nearly all of the songs in this battle. And probably all of the artists, though there are one or two that are a bit more obscure due to being one-hit wonders. But all of the big guns have come out to play, usually more than once:

The Beatles: 3 songs
Creedence Clearwater Revival: 3 songs
Steppenwolf: 3 songs
Cream: 2 songs
The Doors: 2 songs
Jimi Hendrix: 2 songs
Led Zeppelin: 2 songs
Rolling Stones: 2 songs

So whether you're a child of the sixties, or a grandchild of the sixties, it's time to sit back and rock to the decade that changed music for good.

There are some seriously evil matchups in here... I swear I've seen KJB's head explode at least four times...

Round 2 is up, and both Cream songs pitched shutouts in round one, the only songs to do so. Fear Cream if you're a band.

And it's done! The winner is "White Room", by Cream!

I'm going to close this thread a bit prematurely so I can zip up archive versions of the completed battles and send them to Slov, since the Battleground is getting a bit cluttered.
