Having just read Infinite Crisis #1 this morning, I stopped by to say I thought it was very good. Jiminez gives a Perez-esque performance, chocking each and every panel full of detail and action.

I was thinking this, however. God help the poor fool who just picks that up without having been a part of the DCU this past year. They will have NO idea what's going on. It'll be like being dropped into the Middle of Arneggedon with no explanation.

When they do the trade, they'll almost have to make this volume II, and have all the prelude stuff lumped together to be volume one.

Johns says issue #2 will spell out a lot of the background. I think it's good they didn't weigh the story down with a lot of exposition.
