Can Supes repeat?

That KC GL is rockin'
Fogs
I think I played heroclix once in 2005. I know I didn't buy any.

I voted anyways. laugh.gif

He faces some stiff competition in my estimations. That KC Green Lantern is a hell of a figure when you take into account his running shot and 20 defence. He's a swine played against him once never again, needed an 11 to hit all match and did I roll one? Did I heck!!

But in my seldom asked for opinion a character with a 17 defence, hypersonic speed of 12, high attack, and 5 base damage. I'd take Veteran Superman over him any day of the week.
Shazam!
I think KC GL has had his moment in the sun. With PC and perplex, PD TA, I see GL on the losing side of the table more often than not these days. Superman's the king.
Cyclops
I like that Green Goblin. Much cooler than the ultimate version that I have.
Chaomancer Omega
I could care only a little less about the dials at this point, so my decision is based on sculpt and character.

Namor's sculpt leaves a lot to be desired, in my opinion. It's not bad... but it just doesn't impress me overmuch.

Supes on the other hand, is in a great pose. If the peg were clear instead of black, it'd be perfect.

KC GL is attempting to convey something very difficult to capture, I think; it comes close, but it's not quite there.

Atlas is a fantastic sculpt. Granted, it gains a lot of help by virtue of being twice as big, so it can be twice as detailed. But it's truly an excellent sculpt.

But my vote is going to the Green Goblin. I've been waiting since Hypertime for the Green Goblin, and this is just absolutely perfect.

Same reasoning as CO, but a diffrent result. I'm for Mr. Jordan.

Actually, that's Alan, at least according to the sequel The Kingdom (which admittedly may not be the best source.)
DrQuinzel
I'm pretty sure it was established before the sequel...
Trebor
I know it was established in the novel, they use his name specifically.
Slovman
I think Shakespeare also referred to this in "Taming of the Shrew."
KilljoyBob
I'm voting for the Sub-Mariner, the one Marvel character I've been waiting for since Infinity Crisis. And a big thanks to WizKids for not making him a Unique.

Wow, really? Well, color me shocked.
TheRidge
*TheRidge paints Revil a shade of off-white.

What colour would shock best be represented by do you think?
Revil Fox
Fluorescent clear?

Actually this has been my question since I've read Kingdom Come. I kinda assumed the GL was Alan Scott but then when he takes off his mask at the end, the reverend looks at Spectre like they're the same person. Did anyone else perceive it as such or did I just see what wasn't there?
Thor665
I'm going to come out with the belief that you saw what wasn't there (now that I've dug out my trade and had a look) A couple of points.

First off - note that Green Arrow fells GL by removing the arrow heads from his arrows. Pretty point blank the vulnerability to wood says Alan.

Also note the clear relationship with Jade, making the GL either Alan or Kyle, and it's clearly too old to be Kyle so...

But to focus on your perception - When Alan takes off his mask Norman is actually positioned behind him (in fact only Jade is specifically in a position where she can see her father, but she is well aware he is who he is) The next panel shows Norman in the exact same pose as the group shot - suggesting he isn't reacting to anything - yet.

Now, he does then react, turning to The Spectre. However, note that what he is reacting to is The Spectre floating down to Earth to walk beside Norman - the first time The SPectre has done anything more then float. In effect this is The Spectre "de-masking" by trying once more to make himself more human in light of the metahuman's realizations about not dividing themselves from humanity.

I think you perceived the reaction and actually worked deeper meaning into it then the story intended.
Chaomancer Omega
Not to mention, it explicitly shows that the Spectre is Jim Corrigan in the end.

Also, in my copy of the trade, it has a legend for all the characters on the Kingdom Come covers. KC Green Lantern is identified as "Green Lantern I", which is of course Alan Scott.
TwinkyMaster
Ah thanks a lot Thor. You explained quite a few points that I hadn't noticed before.

I don't play HeroClix, but I have a promo Hulk... Does that count? tongue.gif
Gravity

It's a start. wink.gif

My first heroclix was a promo Spider-Man. Now, I have boxes of 'em.

...And they're just sitting up there on a shelf. dry.gif

Doesn't Kingdom Come predate Hal becoming the Spectre anyways?

Seems like it. Of course, Waid may have just ignored it because Hal as Spectre was stoopid.
