I thought of Captain Planet but it didn't make my list. Although, I've never heard of BotP or that Hulk Hogan cartoon. I don't know that they'll get very far in the battle but who knows? Anything could happen. It should be a pretty interesting battle.

The Hogan show was pretty good, but I don't think it'll go far either... it was good, but not Gargoyles good.

If I had to make a prediction without knowing too many of the other nominations, I'd still say that Gargoyles was final 8 material.

It just had wee little hands and numbers, and the face was a magnifying glass, so you could actually see the damn thing (no real idea here, just making crap up).

Ah crap! I completely forgot about Wacky Racers.

I found it hard to whittle down to 20. And once I did, I began seeing things that others were talking about and totally left off my list (mostly cable stuff like Invader Zim, Space Ghost, etc.) and some stuff that I cannot believe I left out (like Renn & Stimpy, Wacky Races, and Animainiacs). But when I look at it, I think going off the top of my head is best, just because those are the ones I really must have liked (and I hope that others pick up those I forgot!).

Well, I nominated Animaniacs, but forgot Ren and Stimpy. Hell, I could come up with another 20 that I would nominate. I hope somebody nominated Tom & Jerry, The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, The Pink Panther, Dungeons and Dragons (gawd, I just remembered that one!), Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, Johnny Quest and Speed Racer.

The original cartoon is in. The "Real Adventures of Jonny Quest", so far, is not.

I prefered the original anyways.

So, I say that if The Osmonds is still on there in the end, it should be replaced with Ren and Stimpy. Definitely.

And incidentally, I ranked B:TAS much lower in my list because I knew it would get into the battle anyway. I put shows I thought were less popular and therefore had less chance of making it in, in the first couple spots. As CO could've probably deduced, my list was not entirely representative of my true favorites but then, no one ever said we had to be 100% honest with our rankings.

That's what I call, my counter nominations. And now, I'll probably never get asked to submit noms again.

You're hardly the only person to do that, Twinky. I left some things off my list because I knew they didn't need my support, and thus those slots and points could be balanced more to what I felt would be a better overall list. (This is one of the advantages of compiling everything. )

And while I don't think anybody else explicitly said they were doing so... there are several lists that seem to indicate similar behavior. So you're not alone.

See, I left a lot of the really "classic" stuff off because it just wasn't that big for me. Flintstones, Jetsons, Scooby Doo-all fell under the axe.

Yeah, none of them made it onto mine either. They never really did it for me either. But that Flintstones - Jetsons crossover was pretty fun.

I'm pretty sure I had Jetsons and Scooby Doo... but I never was a fan of the Flintstones (or the Honeymooners for that matter)

Just for the record, Warren Buffett, Cartoon Star is not in the Battle.

I'd prefer to watch a Jimmy Buffett cartoon.
