I'm not a huge fan of Flash Gordon. The X-Men movies on the other hand, are pretty darn good. The first one hadn't hit it's stride in the franchise but it was still a thought provoking and emotional movie and definitely worth a spot among the best comic book movies.

Flash was OK in a hokey 80's sort of way. X-Men is not hokey, and is a good movie.

If X-Men had a soundtrack by Queen, Alex Ross-designed art, and midgets then it would be the best comic book movie ever. As it is, it's still better than the campy fun of Flash Gordon.
Chaomancer Omega
Haven't seen Flash Gordon, so I'll vote for X-Men, which was pretty decent.

X-Men is definitely worthy of getting my vote. From what little I've seen of Flash Gordon, it isn't.

I wouldn't say that. Flash was a perfectly fun camp film with a great soundtrack and a lot of fun moments. If it was up against perhaps 20 other films in this battle it would certainly be getting my vote, just not against this one.

Flash Gordon has the best movie song ever.

EVER.
