The time has finally come to open the doors on this thing! Once again, we have 64 classic games and 64 modern games, hand-picked by Hallsians as being among the best of the best. Well, unless they nominated something they hate, which is always possible.

Anyway, this is a big battle, so half of the first round is up now, half of it will go up next week. If you don't see a game you nominated, either it's waiting for next week, or it didn't make the cut. In contrast to the first Battle, each game represents itself and only itself, so there are no conflated entries running around causing confusion for folks.

I'm hoping we get some good discussion out of this one, just as we did last time. There are some familiar standbys, and some games I expect most of you won't be familiar with. Polls are open immediately, but I encourage people to discuss things for a while before voting. But most of all, have some fun with it!

Well it looks like I missed the first round of the modern, thats okay, I will participate from here on out.

Well alot of my favorite ones were eliminated in the round I didn't vote in. However I am gland that La Pucelle Tactics advanced cause i would have voted for that anyway. Good old coin flip.

Very cool finalists and a great winner. Anyone who hasn't played Marvel Ultimate Alliance (KJB ) should rent/borrow/buy a copy and check it out. I hope they hurry up on making the sequel too.

Yeah, I don't know I never played Ulitmate Alliance, but I did play the 2 x-men games that were similar in gameplay to it. Pretty boring after a few levels...meh...maybe I am just bitter that you guys voted out all the awesome rpg's so early.

Could be worse. You should see the first video game battle for a real RPG slaughter.
