DECIDE THE BEST SUPERVILLAIN OF 2004!
Thor665
It's good o see Dr. Light actually getting some play time as a seriously considered villain. I could still never vote for him though.
Fogs
Yeah, me either.
Chaomancer Omega
Likewise. So far, he hasn't actually done much in the "present time" of comics. We've just been given a mighty disturbing revelation about his past. It's enough to get him on this list, but not enough to get him my vote.

Ultimate Doctor Doom... well... I don't read Ultimate titles.

Black Mask I do not even know.

Deathstroke is indeed quite impressive... but his villainy itself is not. He's a daunting enemy... but not what I would call the epitome of a supervillain.

In truth, neither is Major Force... but when I think of a great supervillain, I think of somebody I fear, respect with disagreement, or loathe. And this year nobody made me loathe them more than Major Force.

Major Force has indeed been a bastard this year. So much so that I hope he is finally, permanently gone from the DCU. I didn't love to hate him...I just hated him. Probably part of the reason I didn't vote for him.

My first real introduction to Deathstroke was the Heroclix figure. I thought he was funny-lookin'. After reading his appearances in Teen Titans and Identity Crisis, I no longer think he is funny looking. Deathstroke gets my vote for making a blue-and-orange outfit look fearsome.
TheRidge
Gah...no Captain Marvel. Oh well make mine Doom. Though the name change to Van Damme over Von Doom seemed a bit ridiculous at the time...I think he still made a good villain.

Despite the fact that every appearance of him made me imagine Jean-Claude doing the voice.

I voted for Major Force, for reasons well articulated by CO. Deathstroke and Doom did get some serious consideration from me though.
Panther Cult
I actually threw my vote away on Black Mask. here.

I tried and tried to think of an X-Men villain to nominate for this list and there was just absolutely nothing.

I adore the character of Deathstroke, but he didn't do anything overly villanous this year. He messed with the Titans, but it wasn't even really him, but him being controlled by his son. He f'd up the JLA, but not out of sheer villainy but in protecting another villain from them.

Dr. Light is still a joke. I'm curious to see what Johns does with him in the next Titans arc though, as that could prove very interesting.

For me, Black Mask was a character I knew nothing about... but his portrayal in the Gang War crossover was so downright nasty that he walked away with my vote in what I consider to be an extremely week year for this category.
Anti-Monitor
ME ME ME!! I am the greatest villain ever...who else can destroy entire universes for naut but a giggle.
Leeds Knight
Anyone wanna give me a quick description on these guys - I don't read many comics and haven't heard of these guys, although deathstroke sounds familiar.
Mal
For me, the list came down to 2 characters: Major Force and Deathstroke. I've got to agree with CO case for Major Force and place my vote accordingly
TwinkyMaster
I voted for Deathstroke because to me, the "best supervillain" has to be someone I respect for his acts, ideals, or abilities. I liked Deathstroke in Teen Titans and I thought he was the best thing in Identity Crisis. And now he's appeared back in TT. I just wish he'd go head to head with Batman to see who comes out on top.
