Issue 4 will be hitting the Test Server pretty soon, and will bring consentual Player vs. Player battles to City of Heroes for the first time. Spectators will be allowed to watch via "camera drones" and wagering influence on the matches will be permitted. Also coming in the Issue are a host of new costume choices and the "body slider" feature which will allow you to fine-tune your hero's physique.

So what is everyone looking forward to more...the Arenas, or the new costume options?

I'm looking forward to a little supergroup vs. supergroup action, but otherwise I'm not that keen on the PvP stuff. We'll see.

I'm actually much more excited by the new costume options and body-size slider. When I first started this game, I wanted to do a mind controller with a big head, and was a bit disappointed that you couldn't do that.

I'm about the same. I doubt I will want to go up against a lot of these powergamers who claim they will "PWNZ U SUXXORS" or whatever. But there are supposedly badges that can be had from officially-run tournaments, so I may try for those. Yes, I'm a badge whore.

But the costumes and especially the slider will be wicked cool.

More costume choices?

Crap....now I'm going to end up making more characters...

I've got a couple low level characters that I'll probably just delete and remake with the new costume choices.

New costume choices and body sliding are definitely cool. I'm actually holding out on some creations just because I want to see what I can do after the issue releases.

(So if this is on the Test Server soon... when can we expect it on the real ones? Seems like we've been hearing about it forever.)

As for the Coliseum... right now, I'm thinking mostly friendly battles and Badge seeking. Although I admit there will probably be occasions in which some twerp pisses me off and I tell them, "You. Me. Arena. Now." and then kick their ass.

When will it arrive on live servers?

According to people on the forums, when a new Issue hits test, it's usually there 2-3 weeks before it goes Live. But with a big balancing act like PvP, it might be longer.

And I think part of the reason this has been talked about forever was that Statesman made the mistake of saying this issue would be out "sooner than you think," which got people strirred up more than they'd usually be.

I'm really looking forward to the Colloseum. Here are my top 5 reasons:

5) Finding out if Hami-O's really are going to be the be all and end all of PvP.

4) Pounding on people that piss me off. If there was a Colloseum today, I would have taken shots at no less than 40 chicken shit punks on Justice. See my rant on today's daytime Justice Hamidon Raid for more explanation. (It's not up yet, but it will be after supper)

3) I just can't get enough of that sweet, sweet, lag.

2) 3 way battles between x Impact x, Buck Trigger, and the Loathly Lady; the 3 Musketeers of the CM SG.
