Our new frontpage feature is the Citizen Spotlight!

Every once and awhile, I will interview a Hallsian (200+ posts) or a moderator for the Spotlight, and some of their answers will appear on the frontpage. In addition to the extra attention, they will recieve $500 marks.

Whats your personal experience with Liefeld, BFR?

Funny story. Not funny Ha-Ha, funny you know I'm right.

I was at a Comicon in the Bay Area years ago, when Liefield was just hitting it big. New Mutants was coming to an end and news of X-Force was starting to buzz. Now I disliked Liefield early on. For no other reason than his art was awful. As a comic fan and burgeoning artist I was offended that this guy could not only get paid to draw comics but be in a freaking Levi's commercial because of it!

But I digress... I saw a small crowd of gleeful fanboys gathering at a booth. Upon further investigation I found a sinister cherub of a manboy (who I failed to recognize, never having seen him before) drawing pictures for $10 a pop. TEN DOLLARS FOR A LOUSY SKETCH THAT TOOK 20 SECONDS!

I spoke quietly, mostly to myself. But I was overheard by the throng of blathering dweebs as well as the object of their affections.

"Ten dollars? Kind of a lot for a drawing."

His reply? "Hey, kid! It's me!"

So I shake my head and wonder aloud, "Who the hell are you?" Turned from the stunned and annoyed mob and left the con.

The guy is a talentless conceited schmuck.

Oh, and he beat me up, stole my shoes AND my lunch money in the parking lot. Yeah. Yeah... that's the ticket!

Hmm.

I'm beginning to wonder if Austen and Liefield might be the same person.

Interesting thought...

You know it's that kind of arrogance that makes me wonder where does this guy live, and I wonder if his security system will catch me.

Security? I say you give it a shot anyway.

Done where's he live.

Oh I'm sure he's quite deeply ensconced in his own little world.

Y'know that feeling you get while clipping your toenails and there's just that ONE toenail you can't reach very easily and you start falliing upwards and then you realize you just walked in through a door in the basement that was actually the floor? That's what this is.

I understand completely.

The Spotlight on Chaomancer Omega also heralds a site design change. Gone are the frames and in their place is hopefully a more useful and information-packed "portal" to the Halls.
