4F Guild

Essentially the forerunner to the Halls, the 4F Guild was a loosely-organized group of members at the HCRealms forums that tried their best to defuse arguments and flamewars and try to remind everyone that what they were discussing was just a game. Originally founded by Beetle and Mr. Flantastic, the 4F Guild attracted many people who would become long-time Hallsians. Oddly enough, the 4F Guild only lasted around three months before numerous copycat guilds and unfounded accusations of elitism pushed Beetle and Mr. Flantastic to the conclusion that it was more trouble than it was worth and "officially" disbanded the guild. Most of the members stuck around and continued socializing with each other in a thread called "The Halls of Hysteria." When the atmosphere at HCRealms became intolerable, many of the former 4Fers moved over to the Creation Matrix forums where a single Halls of Hysteria thread became an entire forum, and eventually evolved into an entire independent website.

More than five years after the 4F Guild was organized, there are unfortunately very few original members that remain active on the current incarnation of the Halls. In fact, with Mr. Flantastic's appearances now few and far between, Slovman is virtually the only original 4F Guild member left. Despite the ravages of time, the Halls has remained true to the 4F Guild's original mission: keeping forums fun, friendly, and flame-free.
