Astonishing X-Men

While there was an earlier volume, most Hallsians and most comics fans in general will be referring to the title by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday. The title focuses on a small core team of X-Men, including Cyclops, Wolverine, Beast, Emma Frost, Kitty Pryde, and Colossus. It has been a top-selling title for Marvel, and was the 2004 and 2006 winner of the McCrea Award for Best Mainstream Title.
The Whedon/Cassaday run of the title is expected to end with issue #24.
