An avatar is a picture used to identify a Hallsian. While Hallsians may change their avatars frequently, many are known for sticking to a particular common element for their avatars. Some, however, are known for changing their avatars at a dizzying rate, known as "Pulling a Fogs".

An avatar can be a maximum of 85 x 85 pixels, and may be a GIF, JPG, or PNG image. It is usually not animated (though some are). The Halls offers a wide variety of avatars for selection, or a member may choose to use one of their own design.
