Battle of the Cover Songs

The 8th battle in the Grand Battle of Songs focused on remakes of older songs. It was started in April of 2007 and concluded in May. Of note is that each of the top four songs is by an artist whose work is featured in another song battle, and two of the songs are themselves entrants in other battles.

The top four, in order:

1. All Along the Watchtower, by Jimi Hendrix
2. Hurt, by Johnny Cash
3. I Heard It Through the Grapevine, by Marvin Gaye
4. Whiskey in the Jar, by Metallica
