Battle of the Modern Rock Songs

The largest of the categorized Song Battles run by Chaomancer Omega was actually not meant to be as large as it was. It was originally two separate categories, 90s pop songs and Alternative Rock, but there was sufficient confusion over the differences (including on CO's part) that it made more sense to combine the two. What resulted was a full battle of 64, with lots of debate and discussion on various songs. Evanescence's Bring Me to Life took first place, while Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit had its second top-four finish at second place.

The top four, in order:

1. Bring Me to Life, by Evanescence
2. Smells Like Teen Spirit, by Nirvana
3. American Idiot, by Green Day
4. Buddy Holly, by Weezer
