Battle of the Oldies

The Battle of the Oldies was held from November to December of 2007, focusing on the rock and roll music of the early 60s and earlier, particularly the 1950s. The eventual winner, "Johnny B. Goode", had a record-breaking three shutouts in a row leading up to the final match, which it won with a two-thirds vote. In fact, out of the final four, only one song, Stand By Me, did not have at least one shutout in a prior round.
