Best Halls Song

Initially titled Best Song of the Day, this McCrea Award received a new title in 2005 to be more in keeping with the sometimes sporadic update schedule of KHUH Radio, but the spirit and intent of the award remains the same: to recognize the song, out of all those played during the year, which is the favorite of the Hallsians.

In 2004, it was given to the song "March of the Sinister Ducks". In 2005, it was won by "Weird Al" Yankovic's 17-minute epic "Albuquerque".

Tribute, by Tenacious D, won the award in 2006, though there were some cries from the audience that the award should have gone to The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny instead. But the voters win their way despite the wishes of some high-ranking moderators.
