Best New Character

To honor all the new characters that come out during a year, the 2005 McCrea Awards started this new McCrea Award to recognize the best of the new characters. While the competition was stiff, the 2005 award went to Scandal, the blade-wielding daughter of Vandal Savage, who had made her debut in Villains United. In 2006, the award was coincidentally given to another lesbian, Batwoman Kathy Kane.
