Birthday Cake

Hallsians like to acknowledge each others' birthdays, and since the days of Creation Matrix there has always been a Birthday Thread where they wish each other well on their special days. Early on, Fogs started the tradition of offering cake to the birthday boys and girls, which was met with hearty approval, especially with the colorful look of the cake.

After a few months it was noticed that Fogs had been offering the exact same cake every time...

The birthday cake, now crusty and stale, continued to be offered, although each time fewer people were willing to partake. It is rock-solid and is presumably toxic, as most who have succeeded in eating a piece have fallen gravely ill immediately afterwards, with Rock Gladstone being the one notable exception. It may also have somehow acquired regenerative qualities, as it always seems to be complete with each birthday, despite pieces cut out previously and despite once being dumped over Jack Turnpike's head. These qualities do not, however, appear to restore the cake to edible status.
