Catwoman, alias Selina Kyle, was one of Batman's earliest foes, but even in her first appearance, there was sexual tension between the two of them. Eventually, her attraction to the hero, and the fact that she was not inclined to do any violence while committing her thefts, led her to try the path of righteousness. She has recently had her own solo title at DC Comics, which is currently well past its 50th issue.

Catwoman #50 won the Battle of the Comics Covers II; #51 was a semi-finalist. Catwoman herself was the runner-up in the Battle of the Comic Book Babes.
