One of the pioneers of rock and roll music, it has been said by many that Chuck Berry is perhaps the person who most embodies the early form of rock and roll. A true legend, he can be said to have influenced virtually any rock musician to come after him, directly or indirectly. He had several songs in the Battle of the Oldies, and one of his most famous, Johnny B. Goode, won the battle with three shutouts to its name.
