Creedence Clearwater Revival
From HallsWiki
Creedence Clearwater Revival was an American folk-rock band whose music was sometimes referred to as "Swamp Rock" for its bayou-reminiscent sound. (In reality, none of the four members were born anywhere near a bayou.) Their cover of I Heard It Through the Grapevine was nominated in the Battle of the Cover Songs, but was defeated by Marvin Gaye's cover of the same song. They have three songs nominated for the Battle of the 60s Rock Songs: Bad Moon Rising, Lodi, and Proud Mary.
