Cyclops (Marvel character)

The first member and field commander of the X-Men, Cyclops has the mutant ability to fire beams of energy from his eyes. Due to a childhood accident, these beams must be kept in check by a visor of ruby quartz, giving Cyclops his distinctive headgear. His no-nonsense attitude and love for Jean Grey have led to conflicts with Wolverine from time to time.

The Hallsian Cyclops takes his name and most of his online persona from this character.
