E.T. (Atari 2600 game)

(Redirected from E.T. for the Atari 2600)
Widely considered one of the worst video games of all time, arguably the worst, it was a significant factor in Atari's destruction. The game was produced in a span of a few weeks, was overhyped greatly, and was produced in quantities which far exceeded public demand. It was crude even by Atari standards, and controlling E.T. was notoriously difficult. Its failure is legendary, and as a result it was a natural victor in the Battle of the Commercial Failures.
