Ralph Dibny is the DC Comics character, the Elongated Man. By drinking gingold extract, he is able to stretch his body almost indefinitely, a skill which he puts to use solving crimes as one of the world's top detectives. When his wife Sue was murdered in Identity Crisis, Ralph went into a downward spiral of despair and grief, culminating in his decision in 52 to travel the world seeking a way to be reunited with her.
