A TV series created by Joss Whedon that blended the science-fiction and western genres. The show followed the crew of the spaceship Serenity as they transported goods both legal and illegal. Due to mismanagement by FOX network, the series was cancelled after only one season, but it developed a strong following. Despite requests from fans, the show has not returned to television, but it did lead to a movie, Serenity.
