G'nort

A polarizing figure among Green Lanterns, G'nort is from a species of large, dog-like humanoids and was given his power ring as part of a larger plot to discredit the Green Lantern Corps. Totally incompetent but well-meaning, G'nort has spent much of his career as comic relief, even in the predominantly-humorous Justice League International series.

Lantern fans generally groan when G'nort's name is brought up as he is the butt of jokes both in and out of the comics. But there are those that appreciate the simple humor that G'nort represents, especially in an era where the light-hearted comic seems to be dying off.

G'nort has adorned the Halls almost since the beginning; his likeness appears on the front page with a sign begging for donations.
