Halls Historical Archives

A subforum of the Halls of Hysteria forum, the Halls Historical Archives house older threads that have been closed. Periodically, a thread either becomes out of date (such as numerous Poll of the Week threads), or needs to be closed due to size restrictions; typically, the Halls of Hysteria thread is closed at 1500 posts, due mainly to early limitations of the forum software, and continuing partly out of concern the same problems may still exist and partly out of tradition and the observation that restarting the thread seems to breathe new life into it.
After a while these closed threads are removed from the database and converted to a flat HTML file in order to reduce the space used in the database (which is not nearly as large as the total webspace.) These threads form the Halls Historical Archives.
