I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League
From HallsWiki
The sequel to "Formerly Known as the Justice League", I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League nearly didn't happen. It was written by Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis, as with its predecessor, but due to other projects at DC Comics (specifically the death of Sue Dibny in Identity Crisis), by the time the miniseries was ready, it was no longer possible to have it be published "in continuity" and still have it be current with the other titles. The problem was eventually resolved by having the arc published in JLA: Classified, which allows in-continuity stories that are set in the past. The story was thus set before the events of Identity Crisis, though it was published after it, and concurrently with the beginning of Countdown to Infinite Crisis, a conjunction that made reading the story a bittersweet exercise for the fans of the characters. The story itself had a more bittersweet tone to it as well, not being the pure laugh-fest the original was, with some genuine sadness in some of the scenes.
