Infinite Crisis
From HallsWiki
Infinite Crisis was DC Comics's big event for 2005, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Crisis on Infinite Earths by having a sequel to that event. It started with an 80-page one-shot titled Countdown to Infinite Crisis, which was followed up by five miniseries showcasing different corners of the DC Universe. Those miniseries were Villains United, Day of Vengeance, Rann-Thanagar War, The OMAC Project, and Return of Donna Troy. After the miniseries concluded, Infinite Crisis itself began, with 7 issues written by Geoff Johns and illustrated primarily by Phil Jimenez with some art by George Perez. At the end, the DC Universe was changed forever, and all titles in the DCU were advanced One Year Later from their previous point. The missing year is being filled in by the ambitious series 52, which is a weekly miniseries with as many issues as its name suggests.
Infinite Crisis shipped with two different covers for every issue, one illustrated by Jim Lee and one by George Perez. The Perez cover for Infinite Crisis No. 1 won the 2005 McCrea Award for Best Cover.
