Jack Turnpike

An FBI agent who retired young, Jack Turnpike came to the Halls to enjoy a nice, relaxing retirement. To his surprise and delight, he found his childhood "friend" Rock Gladstone working there as a private eye. Jack, without any apparent malice, makes a regular habit out of bursting Rock's bubble casually, often simply by being who he is and pointing out who Rock is. Occasionally Jack will refer to Rock by his old name, Rosalyn, but largely he seems to consider this one area best left untouched.

It is uncertain just how much of Jack's tormenting of Rock is deliberate, how much of it he thinks is genuinely "all in good fun", and how much of it is sheer obliviousness. Regardless, Jack nearly always gets the better of Rock, except on Rock's birthday in 2006, when it was Jack who wound up with the aged Birthday Cake all over him.
