Johnny Cash
From HallsWiki
Known as "the man in black," Johnny Cash was a country singer whose popularity exceeded the common boundaries of country music. Known for his low gravelly voice and a willingness to take on any kind of song and make it his own, it is small wonder that he had six songs nominated in the Battle of the Country Songs, and a further two nominated in the Battle of the Cover Songs.
His Ring of Fire took second place in the Battle of the Country Songs, and I Walk the Line placed third. His cover of the Nine Inch Nails song Hurt took second place in the Battle of the Cover Songs.
