Born in the hellish landscape of Kansas, the man who would become KilljoyBob learned quickly that he would need to fight and fight well to survive. Much of his life has been spent in the pursuit of perfecting his mind, body, and skills as a fighter. But it is his love of Hostess Fruit Pies that gives him his signature weapon: an uncanny ability to hurl them at incredible speeds and with pinpoint accuracy.

Quickly outclassing the petty thugs and two-bit hoodlums of the Midwest, KJB found a home and a purpose at the Halls where he dispenses his own brand of steaming hot justice.

Shortly before the Zero Halls crisis, KilljoyBob was confronted with a haunting spectre of his own future when a version of him came back in time to deliver a terrible, if uselessly cryptic, warning about the events that were about to occur. FutureKJB had been the only Hallsian to survive the disaster in his timeline and insisted that if he had been promoted to Guardian, then he may have been able to help turn the tide. Slovman immediately did so, and the Hallsians did indeed prevail over the forces arrayed against them.

Since then, KilljoyBob has helped defend the Halls numerous times and has been rewarded with the enviable task of caretaker to The Harems.

KilljoyBob was killed for a brief period during the Search for Slovman. Attempting to locate the Tyrant, KilljoyBob entered Elektra Park alone and came face-to-face with a newly repowered George Lucas, who stabbed him through the chest with a lightsaber. KilljoyBob's ghost appeared in the Halls soon after, and led the other Hallsians to face Lucas. He was returned to life through the G6BH Machine.

KilljoyBob was the winner of the 2004 McCrea Award for Best Pie Thrower.

In July 2007, KilljoyBob became the first Champion of the reorganized Lunatic Fighting League.
