A seemingly non-threatening creature, Legend was actually a supernaturally-skilled combatant whose very mention struck fear in the heart of even the most stalwart warrior. The few who were fortunate enough to actually be trained by this master became legends in their own right and are rumored to include both Chuck Norris and Andrew Jackson. Mere mortals hoping to curry favor or be imbued with even a fraction of Legend's power took up the Banner of the Legendary Sword of Eternal Screaming Fluffy.

When Legend joined forces with the Pimpin' Goat and Orson Welles to defeat the Celestial Referees, he unwittingly became a Celestial Referee himself. Now charged with maintaining order in a universe he had previously brought only mayhem to, it is uncertain how he will perform in his new role. But to maintain his ties to the mortal plane, he sent his final disciple, a young woman named Destiny Lass to Halls Isle and keeps an eye on things here through her.
