The arch-nemesis of the X-Men, Magneto believes that mutants cannot live peacefully with humans, and thus must prove their dominance through violent means. Magneto has the mutant ability to manipulate magnetic fields, which he uses as a form of telekinesis.

The cinematic version of Magneto, portrayed by Ian McKellen, was the runner-up in the Battle of the Movie Villains.
