Masters of the Universe

A cartoon show and toyline, Masters of the Universe features the battles of He-Man and his friends against the evil forces of Skeletor for dominance of the world of Eternia. Eternia is a parallel world to Earth, and can be reached from Earth through magical portals (in fact, He-Man's mother, Queen Marlena, is an Earthling.) Denizens of Eternia are often bizarre-looking by Earth standards, though this seems to go unremarked for the most part.

Masters of the Universe has been revived a few times, but in general usage, the term refers to the original 1984-1986 run.

Masters of the Universe is a popular show on the Halls, being the subject of a battle devoted to the characters, as well as a contestant itself in the Battle of the Cartoons. Additionally, both He-Man and Skeletor are fighters for the Lost Grove Spiders in the Fantasy Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny.
