McCrea

McCrea is a super-intelligent sheep that hails from an island inhabited by similar sheep. McCrea, however, was more eccentric than most, and became obsessed with the idea of creating a Green Lantern-like power ring. His first attempt to do this reportedly ended in a large explosion that permanently dyed McCrea's skin and wool green. Subsequent attempts eventually yielded the intended result, and McCrea's power ring is apparently capable of anything the Green Lantern version is, though we have not seen it in action very much.

McCrea also has a bizarre speech impediment where he will often precede or finish a sentence with "Oh yeah, oh yeah"; "Oh no, oh no"; "uh huh" or "That's right." Doom Seal has made fun of him at least once for this, though it has never been fully explained in the story. Outside the story, McCrea speaks this way as an homage to his namesake, John McCrea, lead singer of the band Cake.

While his appearances in Doom Seal Comics are fairly memorable, McCrea is most notably the face of the McCrea Awards.
