Intro
In the year 20XX, six robots were stripped of their identities and trapped aboard a mysterious satellite orbiting the Earth. Without any knowledge of who or where they were, and forced by an unknown presence to re-enact random movies throughout time, the robots held on to the slim hope that their situation would provide the key to their identities. These are their stories.
Overview
When Chaomancer Omega asked for help identifying certain transforming robot toys he had acquired, he had no idea what he had, nor what he was unleashing. He took photos of each robot in both robot and vehicle form, and posted them to A Magical Toyland. Slovman then took those images and created a series of movie parody strips starring the robots.
While occasionally a robot has been identified, this is not considered to negate their role in Mystery Robot Theatre. The joke is that although we may figure out who they are, the robots themselves are left clueless. Periodically, Chaomancer has more robots which need identifying, and Slovman promptly incorporates them into the cast as well. (Interestingly, so far Chaomancer himself is the only one to identify any of the robots.) Recently, KilljoyBob has contributed cast members as well; Mystery Bots #10 and #11 come from his collection. MRT was a nominee for the Battle of the Comic Strips, but lost in the second round to Least I Could Do.

Reign of the Classics
On March 25, 2007, Oogie56 left the door open on the vault that held the MRT cast members. Led by Mystery Bot 2, the robots escaped, seeking their freedom. Slovman sent Oogie out to find them, and in the meantime, brought in the Transformers Classics characters to fill in for them. The Classics filled their roles admirably, and eventually, the missing bots were recovered, along with some new members who were summoned by the sound of Barbara Streisand music, though they knew not why. Nor, indeed, their own identities, much like the original cast members.
