In the Halls, a poll is a special type of thread. Many decisions are made in the Halls by a poll, to allow for the most democratic choice. Most notably, all battles in the Battleground are decided by poll, as are battles in the FUSUD and LFL. Winners of the McCrea Awards are chosen each year in secret polls, so as not to ruin the surprise. The Haremette of the Month is also frequently chosen by poll. Slovman posts a regular feature called Poll of the Week, which can be trivial and nonsensical, or have a direct impact on the direction of the Halls.
