Promisciians

A blue-skinned, entirely female race, the Promisciians are possibly most notable for their sizable libidos. They prove a match for even Lantern Girl in that area, but with greater reason; Promisciians live for only 20 years.

First encountered during the now-infamous Into the Blue mission of the USS Imbalance, the crew had the misfortune of meeting them during a transitionary period in their society. After their male counterparts, the Celibans left centuries ago citing an inability to keep up with their frisky females, the Promisciians instituted drastic measures to repopulate their species. Using highly-advanced genetic manipulation, they were able to transform any member of another species they encountered into a Promisciian just by having sex with them. Unfortunately, this practice more often than not led to interstellar war, and was eventually phased out and outlawed by the Promisciian government. Some refused to change their ways however, which led to much of the Imbalance crew being transformed before making contact with Yafiila, the Promisciian leader.

After this initial misunderstanding was rectified and most Hallsians were inoculated against the transformative virus, the two peoples formed an alliance. This served Halls Isle well during the Lucas-Cylon War. With the Battlestar Imbalance facing down an entire armada of Cylon Raiders and TIE Fighters, it was the belated arrival of highly-advanced Promisciian fighters that helped turn the tide.
