Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes is the collection of the first arc of Neil Gaiman's Sandman comic. It sets the stage for Morpheus's adventures, and is often cited in critical circles as one of the most artistic comic book stories. Unsurprisingly, it was a semi-finalist in the Battle of the Comic Book Storylines.
