Sasha Bordeaux

A former girlfriend of Batman, Sasha Bordeaux was an agent for Checkmate when it was headed by Maxwell Lord. After witnessing the murder of Blue Beetle, she wanted to rebel against Checkmate, but was unsure how to. Eventually, as her body was being taken over by a variant strain of the OMAC virus, and Max Lord was killed by Wonder Woman, she assisted the heroes in taking down Brother Eye. She then went on to become "Black Queen" of Checkmate in the new series spinning out of Infinite Crisis.

Sasha Bordeaux was the winner of the 2006 McCrea Award for Best Superheroine.
