On March 26, 2007, Slovman was mysteriously kidnapped, setting off a chain of events that would lead the Halls to one of their darkest hours. The Guardians each attempted to solve the problem in their own way; Chaomancer Omega immediately threw Ridge into Joliet Jailhouse, oogie56 called for outside help, and KilljoyBob began dressing like Rorschach, the paranoid conspiracy-theorist detective from Watchmen. The other Hallsians joined in the search and even asked Rock Gladstone for help.

The primary suspect in the disappearance was George Lucas, still marooned and hiding on Halls Isle after the Quest for the Rock of Shining Intellect, but other suspects included the imprisoned Ridge (as is tradition), the recently escaped robots of Mystery Robot Theatre and Tommy Elliot, who suddenly showed up and claimed to be a childhood friend of Slovman. He was later cleared of suspicion when Aaron speared him through a wall, killing him.

Oogie's outside help finally arrived, and it was none other than Horatio Caine, straight from Miami. Everyone in the Halls was quickly CarusOWNED, and several clues were found, including a single strand of purple hair. KilljoyBob still believed that Lucas was to blame and entered Elektra Park to find the villain. He eventually did find Lucas, only to discover that Lucas was not the one behind the kidnapping. Lucas decided to take advantage of the disappearance of Slovman anyway, and killed KilljoyBob and crushed KJBot with his newly heightened Force powers. KilljoyBob's ghost warned the other Hallsians, and oogie and Slovwoman ventured into Elektra Park to retrieve KJB's body when they ran into Lucas and Sodacrotch Man. A fierce battle raged in the forest, and Slovwoman managed to cut off Lucas' right arm before the villains escaped.

Elsewhere in the Halls, strange events were also occuring. On April 1, 2007, a new member named Crackstarthrustwarper appeared with the powers of a Guardian and the spelling abilities of a rock. Trying to help, he launched the Battlestar Imbalance into space and promptly disappeared. Trebor attempted to get CO to free Ridge, only to be imprisoned himself, and Gravity tried to help by switching Ridge's brain with that of a dog. After CO destroyed the machine that would convert Ridge back to normal, the canine Ridge released Rick Jones from the Negative Zone.

Lucas and Sodacrotch Man met with the Undead Poets Society and struck a deal. The zombies would terrorize the Halls while Lucas stole the Battlestar Imbalance. Wave after wave of zombies began to attack various points in the Halls, and the Hallsians were spread thin trying to protect them. In Elekra Park, Aaron, Antman256 and Zebra-12 fought vainly to keep the zombies from leaving the forest. KilljoyBob was resurrected in the G6BH Machine as a G6BH Isla Fisher, only to lose the Hostess Fruit Pie Warehouse to another zombie attack. Gelf and Rick Jones protected Gelf's Tavern and the rest of the Unified Midtown from the roof of the tavern. But the greatest attack came on the Main Halls. Oogie, Slovwoman, KilljoyBob, Aaron, Antman, Lantern Girl and Jade fought zombies for several days, as well as George Lucas and Sodacrotch Man. Zombie Whitman revealed his newest weapon, a powerful Zombie Poe, who had the ability to summon ravens and swinging blades. Sodacrotch Man also revealed a new power, to turn himself into living soda and tried to flood the Halls with soda to drown the Hallsians. As the zombie pushed forward against the defenders, Antman was bitten by Zombie Poe and transformed. KilljoyBob finally managed to stop the attack with a thermite Fruit Pie, which ignited the dry zombies' flesh. Unfortunately, the Main Halls was so filled with dry zombie flesh that the building began to burn, and Lantern Girl and Jade turned their focus to putting out the fire. The Hallsians were victorious, but the villainous ringleaders managed to escape.

After all that, Destiny Lass suddenly appeared with a severely exhausted and depleted Slovman. She revealed that she had taken him for mating, as Legend had foretold that their offspring would play a pivotal role in the future of the Halls. She then returned to her home and the ritual birthing grounds.

The effects of this event were widespread, and it was several months before things returned to normal in the Halls.
