A Decepticon spy and Megatron's most trusted soldier, this Transformer can change into a cassette player to record his enemies' plans. He employs his cassette robots, Laserbeak, Ravage, Buzzsaw, Rumble and Frenzy in his quest for information.
Soundwave won the Battle of the Bots, despite Andron's protests against him. It has since become an in-joke that Soundwave is Andron's favorite Transformer, and one is rarely mentioned in the Halls without the other.
His sheer size and powerful weapons make Soundwave a formidable foe, and he brings both to the Ridge City Badgers in the FUSUD.
Inexplicably, he was impregnated by Astrotrain in an episode of Mystery Robot Theatre.
