Spectre

The spirit of God's vengeance in the DC Universe, the Spectre is nearly omnipotent, but normally must have a human host in order to act. During one hostless period, however, the Spectre went on a rampage and slew many magic users in the miniseries Day of Vengeance, which led to him being bound once again to a human, Crispus Allen. Previous hosts include Jim Corrigan (the original host of the Spectre), and Hal Jordan.
