Starring Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, and Kristen Dunst as Mary Jane, Spider-Man 2 broke box-office records as it depicted the web-slinger going up against the tortured genius Doc Ock, losing his faith in his powers, and finally revealing his identity to Mary Jane.

It was the 2004 winner of the Best Movie McCrea Award and was the runner-up in the Battle of the Comic Book Movies.
