TheRidge

In a place that prides itself on insanity, there shouldn't be anyone who you'd call "too crazy." But TheRidge consistently maintains his title as most whacked-out citizen thanks to a severe multiple-personality disorder and his dangerously unstable cosmic powers.

Bonded to the pathetically underwhelming mortal Rick Jones through the Nega-Bands, TheRidge has free reign in this universe to do as he pleases, which isn't always to the benefit of the Halls.

In fact, TheRidge, acting out the jealousy of Rick Jones, actually murdered fellow Hallsian Thor665 and was set to serve a life sentence in Joliet Jailhouse until Thor665 was resurrected. Since then, other Hallsians have kept a close eye on TheRidge, even going so far as promoting him to Watchman, hoping some responsibility would keep his destructive tendencies in check. For the most part, it has worked. TheRidge even sacrificed his own life during the Zero Halls event, although he didn't stay dead very long.

His infamous reputation has taken its toll, however. When a dead body turned up in front of the Halls, TheRidge became the first suspect and was immediately imprisoned. Only after a half dozen others were accused and another murder took place was his name finally cleared. Still, he is traditionally the first person to be suspected when anything bad happens in the Halls, and almost always tossed in jail as a result.

In fact, while in jail after being suspected of kidnapping the Tyrant during the Search for Slovman, Ridge's friend Gravity decided to help him escape by transferring his brain into a dog's. The plan went awry when Chaomancer Omega destroyed the transference machine, and Ridge became trapped inside the dog. Several attempts were made by the Hallsians to reunite Ridge's mind and human body, but none were successful. Slovman eventually determined the only way to drive Ridge's mind back into his own body was to destroy his dog body, so Slovman blew its freaking head off with a shotgun. Unfortunately, this didn't seem to work, at least not immediately.

A few weeks later, a red-cloaked figure going by the name Avatar showed up at the Halls, and claimed to be a henchman of George Lucas. Setting out on a plan that not even Lucas was immediately aware of, Avatar began collecting various objects on Halls Isle. Despite his evil demeanor, Avatar quickly started showing signs that he was actually Ridge. Hallsians put the pieces together and constantly played mind games with their old friend, trying to force his "normal" personality back to the surface. It eventually worked, but instead of disappearing, Avatar split into an entirely different entity and rejoined his villainous cohorts in Elektra Park. Ridge had not come out of the experience entirely the same; his costume was significantly altered and his Nega-Bands had somehow merged into his body and become Nega-Hands.

Even after suffering through all that, Hallsians were quickly inspired to throw Ridge in jail again, this time so he could kill Paris Hilton. Which he did, with style.

TheRidge was the winner of the 2004 McCrea Award for Best Hallsian
