Tommy Elliot

Most comic book fans will probably remember Tommy Elliot as the red-headed brain surgeon and childhood friend of Bruce Wayne who ended up being the principal architect of the series of events that befell the Dark Knight in the 12-issue Hush storyline. Most Hallsians probably remember him that way, too.

But during the Search for Slovman, Dr. Elliot mysteriously appeared on Halls Isle, claiming to be the childhood friend of Slovman and demanding to know what was being done to find him. Hallsians immediately suspected him given his comic book history, bad attitude, and inability to grasp the complexity of Halls customs. Wanting to both silence his nagging and soften him up for further interrogation, aaronc3477 speared Dr. Elliot into a wall. But Tommy, unaccustomed to such violent treatment, fell unconscious and promptly died from severe internal injuries.

The corpse lay on the floor of the Halls for several days, only to mysteriously disappear when Horatio Caine sought to examine it for clues. When Slovman was later returned whole and healthy by Destiny Lass, it was made clear that Dr. Elliot couldn't have had anything to do with the Tyrant's disappearance. Still, it remains unclear just what his connection was to Slovman and what happened to his body following his death. Considering the events of Hush, it is quite likely Halls Isle has not seen the last of Tommy Elliot.
