Transformers Classics is a recent series in the Transformers toyline, featuring new toys that bear a close resemblance to the classic cartoon series, and usually bear a close resemblance to the original toys as well. Differences do show up in the shapes, however, but with the exception of Megatron (who has been referred to as a "Nerf gun"), most are fairly close. The toyline is notable for having more articulation than the original figures usually had.

The series was discontinued in 2006, only to reborn as a subseries within the Transformers Universe line.

The Classics toyline has been moderately popular at the Halls, with the Starscream figure winning the 2006 McCrea Award for Best Action Figure, and the toys filling in on Mystery Robot Theatre during the "Reign of the Classics."
