Tribute is a song by Tenacious D, and is in tribute to the greatest song in the world (which is not mentioned by name). It won the 2006 Best Halls Song McCrea Award. There were some cries from the audience (particularly KilljoyBob, oogie56, Revil Fox, Slovman, and Chaomancer Omega), that despite it being a good song, it should not have won over The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny. However, this may have been karmic payback for it losing to tie-breakers against Bring Me to Life in the second round of the Battle of the Modern Rock Songs.
