Ultra Magnus is an Autobot who bears a striking resemblance to Optimus Prime when not fully armored up. He was introduced in Transformers: The Movie, where he was voiced by Robert Stack. He was originally to be the successor to Optimus Prime, but the Matrix of Leadership forsook him, and instead chose for Hot Rod to become Rodimus Prime and the new leader. Ultra Magnus's irritation at this, and his abandonment on the Planet of Junk, may have led him to make his appearance in the "Wrath of Khan" episode of Mystery Robot Theatre. Ultra Magnus would also like to know why the toy makers keep sculpting him naked. He'd like to help out his fellow Autobots with their problems, but he doesn't have time for that right now.
